Woman's skeleton found after four months in Sirsa

Police recovered a highly decomposed dead body (skeleton) of a 50 year old woman at Rania road here from a building on Thursday.

Police recovered a highly decomposed dead body (skeleton) of a 50-year-old woman at Rania road here from a building on Thursday.

Deceased have been identified as Preet Kaur, a resident of Talwara village of Ellenabad sub-division of the district.

As per details, Preet Kaur, who was unmarried had been living in a rented accommodation (two room set) on Rania road here for last two years. The matter came to fore, when her brother Sukhdev Singh came to meet her after a gap of four months.

He found the room locked from outside, and on suspicion of a untoward happening, he called the police, and broke into the house. Police recovered the skeleton of the victim from the kitchen, and sent the dead body to PGIMS, Rohtak for post-mortem.

After the recovery of victim's body, police have begun investigation on the grounds that why people living in nearby rooms in multi-storied building did not come to know of the incident, since the door of the two room set was remained locked for four months.

JJ police chowki in-charge Darshna Devi said "The victim kin has not raised their suspicion into the death of Kaur, while they only maintained the victim mental state was so not good".
