All panchayats to get optical fibre connectivity: Saini

Chief minister said under the scheme, internet connectivity will be provided to every gram panchayat, school, health centre, anganwadi, e-library and other public institutions

Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini during a project review meeting on Monday said that work to provide optical fibre connectivity to 5,200 gram panchayats has reached the final stage and remaining nearly 1,000 gram panchayats will also be covered soon.

The CM stated this while chairing the “PRAGATI” project review meeting, during which he reviewed in detail 12 projects worth more than  ₹75 crore and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials. (HT File)

Directing officials to expedite the expansion of BharatNet services to every gram panchayat in the state so that high-quality internet connectivity becomes available at the earliest, the chief minister said under the scheme, internet connectivity will be provided to every gram panchayat, school, health centre, anganwadi, e-library and other public institutions.

The CM stated this while chairing the “PRAGATI” project review meeting, during which he reviewed in detail 12 projects worth more than 75 crore and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials.

Saini directed officials to ensure completion of all ongoing government projects within the deadlines so that people receive their benefits without delay.

He also directed to install solar power systems on the sheds being constructed at the apple market at Pinjore and international fruits, flowers, vegetables and horticulture market at Ganaur to make these mandis self-reliant in terms of electricity.
