Thousands of rounds, generations of golfers and a trove of friendships – the Chandigarh Golf Club, one of the most prestigious sporting institutions in the city, is marking its diamond jubilee with a five-day celebration, starting August 21.

The festivities will kick off with a special luncheon for members who have completed 50 years of membership, followed by an evening to honour former office-bearers.
On August 22, the club will unveil its new official website and dedicate a commemorative clock at the iconic first tee. Punjab governor and UT administrator Gulab Chand Kataria will then ceremonially tee off the prestigious diamond jubilee medal round, marking the start of the two-day championship. The competition will continue till August 23, culminating in the grand diamond jubilee gala evening, where members and their families will come together to celebrate the club’s illustrious history.
On August 24, the club will host a diamond jubilee staff lunch to recognise the contribution of its staff and course workers. The celebrations will conclude on August 25 with a special gathering of all past presidents and captains, paying tribute to the leaders whose vision and stewardship have guided the club through six glorious decades.
