Chandigarh man commits suicide in PGIMER

According to police, the victim was 21-year-old and lived in Khuda Lahora, originally from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh

The dead body of a man was recovered near the laundry area of Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Sector 12 on Friday morning.

Police were alerted on Friday morning, and inquest proceedings have been initiated at the Sector 11 police station. (HT File)

According to police, the victim was 21-year-old and lived in Khuda Lahora, originally from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh.

While no suicide note was recovered, police said that the victim got married in year 2024 had conflicts with his wife.

The victim had gone to visit his parents in Janta Colony on Thursday night and had allegedly taken the cloth he hung himself with from there, before committing suicide on Friday morning .

Police were alerted on Friday morning, and inquest proceedings have been initiated at the Sector 11 police station.
