While raising issues with mayor Anup Gupta and MC commissioner Anindita Mitra, the office-bearers of MWAs also demanded that the vendors should be encouraged to promote digital payments.
The representatives asked the MC to provide free access to display advertisements of G-20 meetings in the city. Among the other issues put forth by the MWA office-bearers were door-to-door waste collection from shops, parking facilities in the markets, unauthorised vendors, and illegal advertisements besides mechanics at Sector 21.
The civic body asked the MWAs to follow the norms of advertisement control order and use designated space for ads on SCOs. Installation of fire safety equipment in markets was also discussed.
