Cong hits out at Haryana govt over “deteriorating law and order”
Raising the issue in the assembly during the Zero Hour, Kadian alleged that gangsters residing abroad were linked to a series of ransom calls targeting jewellers and financiers in his Beri assembly segment.
Senior Congress MLA Raghuvir Singh Kadian lambasted the state government for what he said was “a deteriorating law and order situation”.
Raising the issue in the assembly during the Zero Hour, Kadian alleged that gangsters residing abroad were linked to a series of ransom calls targeting jewellers and financiers in his Beri assembly segment. He claimed that crimes were escalating, with people being killed in broad daylight, and urged that those responsible be brought to justice. Kadian said the gangsters involved in targeted killings should be repatriated.
Adding his voice to the chorus of dissent, Congress MLA Kuldeep Vats echoed Kadian’s concerns. Vats remarked that law and order in the state had sunk to its lowest ebb, noting that criminals were operating brazenly without any fear of police intervention, even during the day.
Earlier, Congress MLA Ashok Kumar Arora called for swift action against the police personnel accused of subjecting NHM women employees to cane charges during a peaceful protest—a move he described as a blatant display of police brutality against female protesters.
Meanwhile, Nuh MLA Aftab Ahmed raised the issue of delay in developing sectors in Nuh. He said that during the Congress government land was allotted for developing sectors in Nuh, but despite a decade, the sectors have not been developed yet. He said that land was acquired in Nuh and Tauru in 2009, which was cancelled by the BJP government in 2017. He said now the court has denotified the cancellation and the land is available with the government. He said now sectors should be developed in both the cities, a move which is needed to accelerate development.
