Haryana’s biz-friendly environment attracting investors: Chief minister Khattar

: Investors from across the world are eager to invest in Haryana due to the environment created in the state, chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said here on Wednesday.
Khattar said Haryana has made significant progress in every field, including the economic front. Hailing the success of athletes from the state in the recently concluded Asian Games, Khattar said Haryana contributes to 40% of medals for the country at various national and international events.
The chief minister was addressing a state-level ‘meri maati mera desh’ event at Maharshi Dayanand University here, according to an official statement here.
Khattar said that dedicated volunteers have gathered soil from across Haryana, collecting it in 242 urns, and these will be transported to Delhi on October 29.
“As many as 75,000 urns from all corners of the country will arrive in Delhi, carrying sacred soil, which will be utilised in the creation of Amrit Vatika as a memorial of the Amrit Kaal. This soil will also be put under trees along the Kartavaya Path, symbolising the unity and integrity of the nation,” Khattar added.
He said that when this sacred soil, collected from nearly 7 lakh villages and cities across the country, reaches Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will personally lead the oath-taking ceremony for all the volunteers.
124 PM-Shri schools to come up in Haryana
In another event, Khattar announced that 4,000 play way schools established across the state will be recognised as ‘bal vatika schools’.
Khattar said that anganwadi centres have been transformed into schools to provide children with an education that incorporates sports and play.
“To enhance the quality of education in the state, as many as 124 PM Shri schools will be opened in the first phase from the upcoming session. An additional 128 schools will be introduced in the second phase, taking the total count to 252. The initiative not only shows respect for schools but also extends that respect to the individuals involved with the schools,” Khattar, who was accompanied by Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan, said.
The chief minister called upon teachers to provide informative and value-based education to elevate the students’ standards.
He said that under PM Shri Schools initiative, an amount of ₹2 crore will be allocated over five years to enhance infrastructure development, he said.
Speaking on this occasion, Haryana education minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar said that the state government has increased the number of Model Sanskriti Schools from 22 to 147.
“In the first phase, an allocation of ₹85 crore has been provided by the Centre for the establishment of 124 PM Shri schools,” Gujjar said.
He said that under super 100 scheme of Haryana government, as many as 252 economically disadvantaged students have been selected for NEET, 127 for IIT, and 26 for MBBS courses.
“The government is also planning to introduce NDA coaching in the near future. Additionally, educational software for 34 subjects has been installed on tablets distributed by the government to five lakh students in grades 10 to 12,” he said.
