Inappropriate slogan on car draws ₹13,000 challan in Panchkula

The traffic police removed the black film from the vehicle’s windows on the spot and issued a ₹13,000 challan for violations of the traffic rules

District traffic police on Thursday caught a Bolero carrying black film on the window panes of the car near the traffic lights at Mansa Devi Temple. The vehicle also carried slogans such as ‘no face, no case’ and ‘kidnapping car’, which police deemed inappropriate for display on a vehicle.

Commissioner of police Pankaj Nain said displaying provocative slogans on vehicles could send the wrong message to the public and create a sense of insecurity among citizens. (HT)
