A 34-year-old pedestrian was killed after a vehicle hit him on Ambala Road at Zirakpur in the late evening hours of Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Ramanpreet, a native of Jalandhar, who working as a musician in Mohali.

The victim’s father Dalveer Chand, said, “My son used to perform in functions in Zirakpur. Around 11:30pm on Tuesday, he was returning to his rented accommodation when an unidentified vehicle hit him. He died during treatment at Dera BAssi civil hospital.”A case of rash driving and death due to negligence has been registered.
