“Today handed over the appointment letter to Sakshi Devi, wife of martyr Deepu, who was killed by terrorists in Anantnag,” Sinha posted on his twitter handle.
Earlier, LG had announced ₹5 lakh ex gratia to the victim’s penury-ridden family.
They lived in Thial in Majalta block of Udhampur in abject poverty.

Kumar’s wife Sakshi was expecting her first child when the incident happened.
The LG has assured every possible assistance and support to the grief-stricken family members.
Kumar’s wife has now given birth to a baby boy. Deepu, the sole-bread winner had left home in the hope of earning two square meals for his family comprising his old father Mashu Ram, his elder brother Raju, his sister-in-law, their two minor children and his pregnant wife.
Deepu’s father and elder brother suffer from hearing and visual impairment.
The family lived in a dilapidated mud house that comprised a room and a kitchen with a thatched roof.
