Police arrested two men for allegedly snatching cell phone of a 16-year-old boy in Manimajra on Tuesday. The incident had taken place near Sports Complex when the victim of New Indira Colony was on his way to Rama Market with his father. Police have recovered mobile phone and motorcycle used in the crime from the possession of accused, Amandeep Singh, 24, and Umesh Kumar, 24, both residents of Mauli Complex, Chandigarh. A case under Section 379 A of Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered.

Two more nabbed for snatching mobile
Police on Tuesday arrested two men in connection to a mobile snatching case registered on January 6 under Section 376 A of IPC. The accused, Rishikesh, 20, and Deepak, 19, both residents of Dhanas, worked as labourers and were caught from near T Point Kaimbwala village turn Chandigarh. As per police accused Deepak was earlier involved in quarrels and one case under Excise Act was also registered against him last year.
Mobile phone of J&K resident snatched
Three persons snatched mobile phone of a Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir resident on Tuesday in Chandigarh. Complainant Tahil Rasool Tali told the police that his phone was snatched on the bridge between TPT light point and railway light point. A case under 341 and 379A of IPC was registered.
