New Delhi: The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will install public water dispensers which will act as water ATMs across 250 government schools across the Capital, senior DJB officials said.

The systems will be developed along the boundary walls so that they can serve the students inside the school complex while doubling up as public water dispensers on public street, officials added.
“Tenders for installation and commissioning of such units in government and local bodies schools for children and residents of Delhi have been called and development process will start in May. These dispensers will act as point to facilitate 24×7 access to safe drinking water and contribute towards reduction of water-borne diseases. ATM units shall be equipped with real time quality monitors and displays,” officials said.
