Man arrested for holding partner hostage, assaulting her
A 19-year-old was arrested for allegedly holding his 18-year-old partner hostage and assaulting her over infidelity suspicions in Badshahpur.
Police on Thursday arrested a 19-year-old man for allegedly holding his 18-year-old partner hostage over suspicions of infidelity and physically assaulting her at his rented accommodation in Badshahpur, police said on Friday.

The woman, a student of a private university in Sohna, sustained injuries to her limbs and face. She was treated at the Civil Hospital in Sector 10A, police said.
A senior police officer said that the two had met through a dating application in September 2025 and decided to marry. “However, things turned sour when the man started suspecting that she was having an affair with someone else,” the officer said.
The suspect was found to be a resident of Delhi. The woman contacted her mother after being assaulted, and she informed the police, following which the woman was rescued.
Sandeep Turan, public relations officer of Gurugram police, said that an FIR was registered against the suspect for voluntarily causing hurt and wrongful restraint at Badshahpur police station on Thursday.
“She is undergoing treatment for her injuries sustained in the assault,” he said.
