Nursing intern abducted, assaulted for ‘talking to woman colleague’ in Gurugram
The suspects allegedly barged inside a private hospital in Old Gurudwara Road in Sohna around 5pm on Monday and abducted the victim from there, said the police
The police have booked three people for allegedly assaulting a 19-year-old nursing intern in Gurugram’s Sohna on Monday for talking with the latter’s woman colleague, police said on Tuesday.

The suspects allegedly barged inside a private hospital in Old Gurudwara Road in Sohna around 5pm on Monday and abducted the victim — Sahil Khan — from there, said the police.
Sahil’s father Jamshed Ali, 48, who is a building construction contractor by profession, said that his son is studying diploma in medical laboratory technology (DMLT) from a college in Nuh, and worked as an intern at the private hospital from where he was abducted.
The police said that Sahil and one of his woman colleagues at the hospital had recently started interacting with each other, and the woman allegedly “ignored” another man — Naresh Yadav, 28 — which irked the latter.
Yadav, the prime suspect in the case, is not an employee of the hospital.
It was revealed during preliminary investigation that Yadav was furious over the interaction between Sahil and the woman, following which he and his two associates allegedly abducted Sahil from the hospital and took him to an isolated place in the forests of nearby Raisina hills in Sohna and assaulted him, said the police.
The police also said that the suspects threw Sahil out of their car near Central Park on Sohna Road around 7pm and escaped. They are still on the run, according to the police.
Passersby noticed him and informed the police, who later admitted Sahil at a private hospital in Nuh, where he is undergoing treatment for multiple injuries in the head, limbs, and other body parts, He was allegedly assaulted with wooden bats, belts, and rods. Sahil’s father also alleged that his son has been unable to hear from his right ear following the assault, said the police.
Based on a complaint filed by Sahil, a case has been registered against Yadav, Rahul and Puran under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 120B (criminal conspiracy), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 365 (kidnapping any person with intent to secretly or wrongfully confining him/her), 379B (snatching after preparation made for causing death, hurt or restraints), 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) at the City Sohna police station on Monday night.
Sahil mentioned in the FIR that during the assault, Yadav allegedly told him that he was “being punished for talking to his female colleague”. “If you even work with her again, in any hospital, we will kill you…,” Sahil was quoted as saying in the FIR.
The suspects even took away my cellphone and ₹2,000 from my pocket, Sahil alleged.
According to Sahil’s father, Yadav had also threatened his son earlier. “However, I was not clear about the reason as the kids these days do not share much with their parents,” Ali said.
Subhash Boken, public relation officer (PRO) of Gurugram Police, said that prima facie, it has surfaced that “Yadav was known to the woman and he did not like the fact that the duo had been interacting“. “Yadav is the prime suspect. The police are trying to nab the three suspects at the earliest and we will get a clearer picture once the suspects are arrested,” Boken said.
