LUCKNOW The day and night temperatures eased a little in several parts of the state on Tuesday, giving some relief to people who have been braving a severe cold spell since January 3. The Indian meteorological department has attributed this little rise in temperature to western disturbance. The forecast for the next two days is that after a brief cold day and fog on Wednesday, the western parts of UP will experience a spell of rain for a brief period on Thursday and Friday.

Under the influence of the western disturbance, weather is most likely to remain dry over the state on Wednesday. Rain/thundershowers are very likely at isolated places over west UP on January 12 and 13. Dense to very dense fog is very likely at a few places over the state on Wednesday.
