The inquiry was initiated after a complaint of medical negligence by a family in Indira Nagar. In March, they had alleged that the hospital operated upon a 50-year-old family member for a fracture in the hand but the patient died. Subsequently, several notices were issued to the hospital by health department.

On Monday, deputy chief medical officer Dr AP Singh reached the hospital to record the statement of the doctor, but found the hospital gate locked, which was taken as non-cooperation in probe. After this, a notice to stop all patient services was pasted on the gate.
