NCR launches portals for incident investigation, asset monitoring
General manager, NCR, Satish Kumar said that these portals would be of great help in security and better maintenance of railway assets.
North Central Railways (NCR) launched two portals namely ‘incident investigation reporting portal’ and ‘asset monitoring portal’ here recently.

The incident investigation reporting portal has been developed for uploading incident investigation reports. In this portal, the users can upload investigation reports of cases and they can be seen by all the departments and immediate corrective action can be taken by the officers concerned.
Likewise, the asset monitoring portal is designed for real time monitoring of various assets including road over bridge, road under bridge, goods shed etc.
“Many a times, the complaints or problems regarding various assets come to notice or deficiencies are detected during the inspection by officers. Now that a dedicated portal has been launched, the photographs of these assets can be uploaded on the portal and the same can be viewed by the all the concerned department and officers, as and when required,” informed senior public relation officer of NCR, Amit Malviya.
This will help in taking immediate corrective action on receiving information in the form of photo on real time basis about any asset by the officers concerned, he added.
Malviya further added that this information, pertaining to improvement or resolving of the issues, will also be available after the same is done and a photo of the work, undertaken to resolve the issue, would also be uploaded on the portal.
General manager, NCR, Satish Kumar expressed satisfaction and said that these portals would be of great help in security and better maintenance of railway assets. Various safety and punctuality issues along with infrastructure strengthening works were also discussed during the meeting, he said.
