An app will soon do away with the need for citizens to make rounds of the Prayagraj Nagar Nigam (PNN) offices to get work done. Once launched, citizens will not only be able to deposit their house tax, etc, but will also be able to apply for licences and birth/death certificates and even make complaints through the app.

Nagar Nigam officials are working on the app in which all records will be digitalised soon. The app will take seven months to be completed and be launched. The PNN has approved a budget of 17 crore from Prayagraj Smart City Project funds.

The responsibility of making the app has been given to Mumbai based Compt ABM Knowledge Ware Limited. The company will complete the task of digitalization of records and connecting the services with the app.

Even if citizens have to obtain a no objection certificate (NOC), or are in need of any record, they will not need to go to a Nagar Nigam office, after digitalisation. All services including records of land, properties etc will be available at the click of a mouse.

The app will make it easy to track all services, facilities and complaints which will include complaints regarding cleanliness drives in localities. Moreover, applicants for any documents will receive regular updates about their application through messages to their mobile phones. Payments of house tax, water tax, booking for water tanks etc can also be made through the app. NOC for marriage halls, guest house booking and other facilities may also be taken through the app. The working of garbage collection vehicles will also be monitored through the app.

Citizens may also rate PNN services and facilities through the app if they are satisfied or not happy with the work.

Citizen-centric services will include online governance redressal, licence and lease renewal, rate and lease management, PSCL web portal, financial accounting, work management, e challan for encroachments, online permission/NOC for road cutting, water supply and sewerage, workshop and fleet management etc.

Departmental services in the app will include HR/payroll and pensions, legal, audit, store management, e office, executive dashboard and MIS reports.

Integration of services in the app will include integration with birth and death registration, integration with property tax management system, integration with right to information, integration with national urban livelihood mission, integration with e nagarsewa, APL-based third party system integration.

Municipal commissioner Chandra Mohan Garg said for the improvement of facilities for citizens, the PNN is preparing to launch the app.
