Gurugram: Gurugram police have arrested the prime suspect in the murder case of a property dealer who was shot dead in his under-construction house at Sector 22A in Palam Vihar on October 30 last year.

Police said the suspect, identified as Bablu Khan (24), was lodged in a jail in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, for another criminal case.
According to investigators, a production warrant was issued by a city court on the basis of which he was brought to Gurugram on January 4, and was taken on a seven-day remand.
A reward of ₹25,000 was also declared by Haryana Police for anyone giving clues of his whereabouts as he kept hiding at different locations after the murder, police added.
The murder victim, Dharmesh Yadav (42), was asleep inside his house when Khan and his associate Mohammad Moinuddin had reached the spot at about 2am from Delhi and allegedly shot him dead.
Police said they had arrested Moinuddin on November 6 and the deceased’s wife Neetu (37), on November 7 last year for their alleged involvement in the case.
Preet Pal Sangwan, assistant commissioner of police (crime), said that they recovered 239 grams of gold jewellery handed over to Khan by the deceased’s wife.
“Besides, a car and a-country made pistol used in the murder were also recovered from a hideout in Sambhal on information disclosed by Khan during his interrogation,” ACP Sangwan said.
ACP Sangwan said that the deceased’s wife had an illicit relation with Khan and they murdered him with the motive to capture his properties and later get married.
Police said the deceased’s wife had given 738 grams of gold jewellery worth around ₹37 lakh to Khan and he used the money to build a house in Sambhal and also purchase the pistol that was used in the murder.
Police said that Khan had six criminal cases against him, including gangrape, sexual assault of a minor and illegal arms possession at various places in UP.
Khan was also booked under the Uttar Pradesh Gangsters and Anti-Social Activities (Prevention) Act, police added.
