A 34-year-old man was killed in a fatal accident near Navale bridge when a cement-laden truck collided with at least six vehicles when they were waiting at a signal.

The deceased has been identified as Sandesh Anada Khedkar, a resident of Tilekar Nagar, near ISKCON Temple, Katraj-Kondhwa Road.
According to police, a cement-laden truck heading towards Baner from Kondhwa, when truck driver Pankaj Rajaram Natkare, 22, a resident of Karnataka, lost control over the vehicle and rammed at least six vehicles.
Another commuter Benaraifle Adhav, 27, a resident of Ambegaon Pathar was injured in the accident.
The accident created chaos and massive traffic jams in the locality. Locals immediately informed emergency service 112 about the accident.
A team from Sinhagad road police station rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to the nearby hospital for medical treatment.
This was the second accident in the last 10 days, amplifying concerns about safety and road conditions in the area.
The process to register an FIR under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) was underway, said police.
