Harmony in human relations is possible if the basic components of love, goodwill, brotherhood, tolerance and sweetness are present.

Nathowal village, which is known as land of Martyrs, near Ludhiana, is setting up an example of harmony. Residents here treat each other with great love and live in peace and harmony. They celebrate all festivals together and with equal fervour. Recently people from Sikh and Hindu communities helped to repair an old mosque. In another recent example, one Muslim gentleman from Mumbai was taking his pregnant wife to the hospital in a taxi, when she suddenly developed labour pains. The taxi driver asked them to leave, as he didn’t want her to deliver the baby in his car.

On seeing a Ganesha temple nearby, the couple got down and were helped by a group of ladies. The women created a makeshift delivery room in the temple, where the baby boy was born. The couple thanked the women and Lord Ganesha.

In an orchestra, different musical instruments are used and yet a happy blend of tunes creates a harmony. Similarly the harmony in life can be created by a blend of diverse cultures and religions. It is like a rainbow in the hearts of people, with feelings of love, sadness, happiness, truth, faith, secret and respect.
