Wicketkeeper-batter Sam Billings has been added to the England Test squad for the rescheduled fifth Test against India, which starts from July 1 at Edgbaston. The 31-year-old comes as a replacement for Ben Foakes, who contracted the novel coronavirus and will have to remain in five days of isolation. The announcement was made by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) after their clean sweep over Kane Williamson's New Zealand in a three-match Test series. England won the first two Test by five wickets and sealed the third encounter by seven wickets.

Meanwhile, Jimmy Anderson, who missed out the Headingly Test last year due to an ankle niggle, is likely to be part of the starting XI in the upcoming match. He will most probably share the new ball with seasoned pacer Stuart Broad.

Meanwhile, a lot has changed since in both the camps. England have a new skipper and coach in the form of Ben Stokes and former New Zealand cricketer Brendon McCullum.

Things are similar in the Indian camp, with Rahul Dravid replacing Ravi Shastri as the head coach. However, Rohit Sharma, the new red-ball captain, will also have to sit out after the star Indian batter contracted Covid. Mayank Agarwal, who was not a part of the squad, flew to UK as a cover for the Indian skipper and it will be interesting to see who opens the innings in the absence of both Rahul and Rohit.
