India vs Australia 4th Test Highlights: Usman Khawaja's unbeaten century has taken Australia to 255/4 at Stumps on Day 1 in Ahmedabad. Catch the Highlights of IND vs AUS 4th Test Match.

India vs Australia 4th Test Highlights: Having opted to bat, Australia posted 255/4 in 90 overs at Stumps on Day 1 of the ongoing fourth and final Test match vs India, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, on Thursday. Usman Khawaja slammed a glorious century, hammering an unbeaten knock of 104 runs off 251 balls, packed with 15 fours. The Aussie opener was at his brilliant best and will resume batting with Cameron Green (49*) on Day 2. Australia got off to a strong start, with Khawaja and Travis Head showing positive intent. Head was eventually dismissed for 32 runs off 44 balls by Ravichandran Ashwin, but helped his side in getting a good start. After Head's wicket, Marnus Labuschagne, at no. 3, failed to have an impact and departed cheaply for three off 20 balls. After Labuschagne, Smith built a steady partnership with Khawaja, but lost his wicket to Ravindra Jadeja, managing to register 38 runs off 135 balls. Batting at no. 5, Peter Handscomb looked comfortable but a peach of a delivery by Mohammed Shami saw him depart for 17 off 27 balls, and the pacer also took his second wicket of the day. After Handscomb, all-rounder Cameron Green restored Australia's stability with a good partnership with Khawaja, which also saw the opener get to his century. The match holds great significance as far as the World Test Championship is concerned and a positive outcome will see India join Australia for the finals, which is scheduled to be played at The Oval in June. A draw or even a defeat won't put curtains on India's qualification chances but a lot will depend on the outcome of the Test series between New Zealand and Sri Lanka, which too starts from Thursday. Australia, on the other hand, will hope to carry forward the winning momentum and finish the series on level terms. The tourists are currently trailing 1-2 in the four-match series....Read More

Ahead of the match, former player Jaffer had a warning for Rohit and Co. ahead of the final Test, and also shared his prediction. Speaking on ESPNCricinfo, he said, "I think India will make a better comeback. It's a good wake-up call. They must improve on their batting, especially the likes of Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Shubman Gill as they are due for runs. The top five should help the Indian bowlers with runs. If they score 300-400 runs, their bowlers become a lot better. Virat Kohli is due for runs big-time and I expect him to return to his old form and hopefully, India wins the Test match."

India vs Australia Live Score, 4th Test Day 1: 'We want to do our best in all the games', says Rohit Sharma
Recently, Rohit responded to Shastri's criticism of the Indian team being overconfident for the third Test match. "Honestly, when you win two games, if the people outside are feeling that we are overconfident, it's absolutely rubbish, because you want to do your best in all four games. You don't want to stop by winning just two games, it is as simple as that. Obviously, all these guys, when they talk about being overconfident and all that, especially the guys who are not part of the dressing room, they don't know what kind of talk happens in the dressing room. Ruthless is the word that comes to my mind", he said.
"Not to give any inch to the opposition when they are playing, especially when they're touring abroad, and that is exactly what we have also experienced when we have toured outside. The opposition will never let you come into the game, never let you come into the series. And that is the mindset we have as well. We want to do our best in all the games. If it seems overconfident or anything like that to the outsiders, it doesn't really matter to us", he further added.
