India Women vs Bangladesh Women 2nd ODI highlights: Jemimah Rodrigues scored a masterful 86 off 78 while Harmanpreet Kaur made 52 in 88 as India scored 228/8 batting first in the second ODI against Bangladesh at the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka. India, who were looking to avoid a first-ever series defeat to Bangladesh, were put to bat first by the hosts in the 2nd ODI at Dhaka. They lost a wicket early but opener Smriti Mandhana's 36 gave them a good platform to work on. Harmanpreet had to retire hurt after a blow to her arm although she returned to the crease after the dismissal of Harleen Deol. Rodrigues, who played a brilliant knock of 86 for India, delivered the goods with the ball as well. The Indian all-rounder emerged as the pick of the bowlers for the visitors. She took four for 3 in 3.1 overs as Bangladesh folded for 120 in 35.1 overs. With the win, India have levelled the series 1-1.

India vs Bangladesh 2nd ODI live: A quick recap
Amanjot Kaur, making her ODI debut, took four wickets as India dismissed Bangladesh for 152 runs in 43 overs after the match was reduced to a 44-over affair due to rain. India were given a DLS target of 154 to chase but succumbed to the slowness of the pitch and the relentless Bangladesh bowlers. Maruga Akter recorded figures of 4/29 while Rabeya Khan ended the match with figures of 3/30.
India vs Bangladesh live score: What Harmanpreet Kaur had to say
"We had given at least 20 runs extra. We bowled many loose balls and were not up to the mark. Obviously, in the batting department, nobody took responsibility. No, we are not weak against legspinners but they were really good. We need to focus on rotating the strike, we have done well in ODIs."
IND w vs BAN w Live score: Nigar Sultana on Bangladesh's win
"It is a huge achievement for the team. It will help us play much better in the future. We have defeated India after a long time. Plus, it happened in Mirpur. It is definitely part of history. We want to create a little more history."
IND w vs BAN w Live: Bangladesh's ODI series wins thus far
Bangladesh played their first bilateral ODI series in 2012. They recorded their first series win in the format against Pakistan at home in 2013/14. Since then, they have beaten Ireland at their home in 2016, Pakistan in a one-off ODI at home in 2018 and Zimbabwe at their home 2021/22. While they have recorded two wins against Pakistan, one has to remember that the latter have never been quite the force that they've been in men's cricket. This means that a victory against India today is certainly on a different planet compared to anything they have done in the past.

Rain did play a significant role in the first ODI and it is likely to make an appearance today. However, for now at least, it doesn't look like it could cause any dent in the match itself.

IND w vs BAN w Live: Hello and welcome!
India's last ODI assignment was about 10 months ago. That was Jhulan Goswami's last international series and it ended with India sweeping the mighty England in England. Little would they have known that they would be fighting for their lives against Bangladesh in their next ODI series. A combination of a lack of match practice and utterly poor batting conditions seems to have caught the Indian batters unawares almost and they have struggled to adjust to it since the second T20I of this tour. For Bangladesh, this is a chance for them to show the world that they have the might to give the big teams an almighty fright.
