India vs England Highlights, U19 World Cup 2022: India win historic fifth title, beat ENG by four wickets

An 8th wicket partnership of 76 runs… and the pressure is suddenly back on the Indians. A wicket could change the course but Rew & Sales look in good touch here. England can easily go past 200 if these two stay in the middle.

Bawa continues… he's still in search of a fifth wicket, which would make him the first Indian to achieve a five-wicket haul in the history of the U19 World Cup. Bawa concedes five.

Uh-oh! A slight full toss from Ravi Kumar but the square leg umpire feels that's below the waist height.

A single off Raj Bawa's over and James Rew has reached 80 off 101 deliveries. What a fighting knock this has been from the left-handed, who's got quite a few shades of all-rounder Ben Stokes.

Ravi Kumar back into the attack and Rew welcomes him with a brilliant pull for a boundary. Good over for ENG with eight coming off it. At one point, it looked like India will bundle out England under 100. Rew and Sales have been exceptional to revive the English innings.

The two James' have added a fifty partnership after the English collapse. They are rotating the strike with occasional boundaries, and England in no time are near the 150 mark.

James Rew and James Sales have added 32 runs for the eighth wicket and India will look to break the stand. Ostwal back into the attack. Would be phenomenal if the English pair takes its team's total past 200 from this stage.

Rew started Hangargekar's over with a lovely pull for a four. But the second one has hit the left-hander on the helmet. The physio comes out and it's time for a drinks break.

We are around the halfway mark and England skipper Tom Preston will be questioning the decision to bat first. Ravi Kumar first picked up two early wickets before Raj Bawa entered the picture. He removed a well-set Thomas for 27 and then dismissed Luxton (4), Bell (0) and Ahmed (10). England have crossed the 100 mark but is it enough against opposition like India?

Another one bites the dust. Horton throws his wicket away as he holes to Yash Dhull at mid-wicket. Tambe also enters the wicket-takers column.

Spin from both the ends and Ostwal gives away three. India won't mind singles at this point. End of 24 overs and England are 90 for six.

Alex Horton produces another boundary! Tambe's delivery spins down the leg and Horton guides it to the fence. The English camp is limping towards the 100-run mark.

Tambe into the attack and he gives away five in his first over. James Rew tries something new and attempts a reverse sweep. It's a fast outfield here at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. A much-needed boundary for England as they look to go past the 100-run mark.

Bawa is on the cusp of making history. He needs one more wicket to become only the second player to register a five-wicket haul in U19 World Cups. Anwar Ali of Pakistan had previously taken a fifer against India in the final of the 2006 U19 World Cup.

End of another successful over from Bawa, who gives away just one along with picking up a wicket. Also, Ostwal, India's best bowler of the tournament, has come into the attack! He's got 12 wickets to his name including a fifer against SA.

England 61/6 after 17 overs

Edged and taken! A simple dismissal… Bawa has been exceptional today and his latest prey is Rehan Ahmed. This now seems to be turning into a lop-sided contest.

Nicely cut away by Rehan Ahmed. Finally, a boundary for England but India still have a firm grip on the contest. Don't forget Vicky Ostwal, who is yet to come into the attack.
