India vs West Indies Highlights, 2nd ODI: Rohit Sharma-led India have sealed the ODI series by beating West Indies by 44 runs in the 2nd match to take an unassailable 2-0 lead. In chase of 238, West Indies began well with Brandon King and Shai Hope getting to 31 after 7 overs. Then, Prasidh Krishna jolted their innings by dismissing Brandon King (18) and Darren Bravo (1) in successive overs. Hope continued to score run but his knock of 27 was eventually brought to an end by Yuzvendra Chahal. Krishna came back for a second spell and struck right away by dismissing Pooran on 9 to leave WI 4 down. The visitors found themselves in deeper trouble as Shardul Thakur dismissed Jason Holder on 2 just 2 overs later. Brooks continued to play the anchor role from one end and moved into the 40s to keep his side afloat. However, he was sent packing on 43 when Deepak Hooda bagged his maiden ODI wicket to hamper the opposition's progress. Akeal Hosein (34) and Fabian Allen (13) added 42 runs for the 7th wicket before Mohammed Siraj removed the latter. Soon after, Thakur got Hosein to leave WI 8 down. Just when it looked like getting over, all-rounder Odean Smith tonked some lusty blows to keep WI alive. But the excitement didn't last too long as Washington Sundar got him on 24 before Krishna trapped Roach plumb in front on 0 to bag his 4th wicket and skittle the Windies out for 193. Earlier, India set West Indies a target of 239 in 50 overs. The first innings began with Rishabh Pant opening the batting with Rohit Sharma. The opening stand didn't last long as Kemar Roach dismissed Rohit on 5. Virat Kohli (18) and Rishabh Pant (18) then put on 30 runs for the second before Odean Smith jolted the hosts by removing both the batters in the same over. KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav notched up a 50-run stand in 83 balls. They added a total of 91 before a mix-up resulted in Rahul falling short of his crease on 49. Then, SKY brought up his 50 in 70 balls and put on 43 runs for the 5th wicket before gifting his wicket to Fabian Allen by playing a botched sweep shot. Akeal Hosein then removed Sundar on 24 before Alzarri Joseph picked two quick wickets to leave India 8 down. Deepak Hooda, the last remaining hope, scored 29 before Jason Holder got his wicket. Eventually, the hosts posted 237/9 in 50 overs.

India vs West Indies 2nd ODI: Weakness vs Prowess
It is a well-known fact that India has always enjoyed a good crop of spin bowlers and they are all the more lethal on home tracks. Hence, it wasn't surprising to see them bag 7/10 wickets in the first game. On the other hand, West Indies have lost 44 wickets to spin in their last 13 games at 21.86 per dismissal, scoring at only 4.07 per over against the slower bowlers.
India Vs West Indies Live Score: Biggest issue with WI is the batting
"Same old for us - not being able to bat 50 overs. Have to take stock of that. We've got to dig deep, get better in terms of technique, myself included." This was Kieron Pollard at the post-match presentation ceremony. It highlights the biggest problem plaguing the men's team currently. In the last 13 matches, they have failed to reach 50 overs 9 times. Nine times! If they are put in to bat again, the trend could follow suit.
How good was Team India on Sunday
After a torrid 3-0 whitewash at the hands of South Africa, it wouldn't have been surprising to see India struggle in the opening game of this series. However, the return of Rohit Sharma also brought back the security and they looked like a well-oiled unit. Be it bowling, fielding, or batting, the ‘Men in Blue' showed why they are one of the best teams in the world
India Vs West Indies: Do-or-die game
The Windies find themselves in a spot of bother very early on. They lost the first game but the manner in which they were defeated is more concerning. If such a theme is to continue, then there can only be one winner
