India Women vs Australia Women Highlights 5th T20I: AUS W blow away IND W by 54 runs, seal series 4-1

Devika Vaidya strikes as Ellyse Perry is caught by Harleen Deol at long-on for 18. A flighted ball as Perry struck it well but didn't get the elevation. Harleen walks forward and tries grabbing the ball, which jumps out of her hand, but she completes the catch in the second attempt. 

8 runs come from the over. AUS W: 72/4 (10 overs)

Shafali Verma is introduced into the attack and she delivers straightaway. Tahila McGrath charges down the track against her, but fails to get a connection. Easy stumping for Richa Ghosh, who missed her catch in the previous over. She departs for 26.

Seven runs come off the next over bowled by Rajeshwari Gayakwad. AUS W: 64/3 (9 overs) 

Harmanpreet Kaur brings Rajeshwari Gayakwad into the attack and she gets the edge off Tahila McGrath's bat in the first ball. However, Richa Ghosh fails to hold on to it. 

Meanwhile, there was a run-out opportunity against Ellyse Perry at the non-striker's end. However, Deepti Sharma's throw misses the stumps by whiskers, and rolls to the boundary ropes as four overthrows. Second time in the innings, India have conceded a boundary as overthrow. AUS W: 49/2 (7 overs) 

Tahlia McGrath tries to get the most out of the final powerplay over as she hits Deepti Sharma for a four and follows it up with a maximum. She continues her wrath and hits the bowler for another six. Both the instance, she stepped out of the crease and targeted the straight boundaries. The first one was smashed over covers, and the second one was hit over the long on fence. AUS W: 42/2 (6 overs)

Anjali Sarvani bowls a tight fifth over as just two singles come off it. The final bowl, which was pitch up, swung towards the right handed batter and possibly hit her pads. AUS W: 24/2 (5 overs) 

OUT! Deepti Sharma gets the wicket of Phoebe Litchfield. This is turning out to be a dream start for India. Deepti comes into the attack and gets the second wicket for India. The previous two deliveries created the pressure. Litchfield felt the pressure, came down the track but was nowhere near the pitch of the ball. It spun past the left-hander and Richa Ghosh took the bails off in a flash. Australia 17/2 after 3.3 overs

How often do you get a maiden over in a T20I and that too in the powerplay? Excellent stuff from Renuka Singh. Just what India needed after opting to bowl first. Australia, for a change, haven't gotten off to a flier in this match and Deepti Sharma is yet to come into the attack. AUS W: 17/1 (3 overs)

Anjali Sarvani pitches it up and wide, which is easily knocked by Phoebe Litchfield towards the third man region and run for a double. The throw by Harleen Deol from deep takes a deflection of Litchfield and races towards the boundary. Four overthrows. 

Nine runs and wicket come off the over. AUS W: 17/1 (2 overs)

Perfect start for India as Anjali Sarvani packs Beth Mooney for 2. The batter charges down the track but gets an inside edge, which then knocks the stump. AUS W: 9/1 (1.3 overs)

Renuka Thakur starts with a wide, down the leg side. She switches to round the wicket and bowls a length ball, which misses the outside edge of Beth Mooney's bat. She then rotates the strike in the next ball. 

Renuka pitches it full and straight, which is beautifully timed by Phoebe Litchfield, as it goes past the bowler for a boundary. AUS W: 8/0 (1 over)

The players walk into the field as the action gets underway. Beth Mooney and Phoebe Litchfield, two left-handed batters, will kick-off the proceedings. 

Renuka Thakur will lead the attack for India.

India have strengthened their bowling by bringing in Rajeshwari Gayakwad. Jemimah Rodrigues is not included in the playing XI. 

Australia, on the other hand, have fielded Kim Garth and Phoebe Litchfield. Alyssa Healy and Megan Schutt sit out.

India won the toss and will bowl first.

With the ICC Women's T20 World Cup scheduled in less than 2 months, players will take this as an opportunity to make their case strong in terms of selection.

Seven times over 170 runs on the board, so we can assume that the Brabourne pitch has not been a difficult hunting ground for the batters. We can even expect something similar tonight.

Beth Mooney has been standout player with the bat. The Australian wicketkeeper-batter has accumulated 203 runs from four outings. 

Ashleigh Gardner has been impressive with the ball. The all-rounder has scalped five wickets from four encounters. She is followed by Deepti Sharma, who also has the same number of wickets from four outings.

Tahlia McGrath will lead the Australian unit in the match tonight after interim captain Alyssa Healy was forced to withdraw from the contest due to an issue on her calf. 

Healy had replaced Meg Lanning as captain for the tour. She had strained her calf while batting in the fourth T20I on Saturday.

Four of the five T20Is have been played so far.

- Australia won the first one by a huge margin of 9 wickets. 

- India then squared things off in the second encounter, winning the contest in Super Over.

- Australia then secured a 21 and 7-run win in the following two encounters.
