Aakash Ambani speaks on MI's picks
"When we were sitting for our retention discussions, the third choice was so hard. Between Ishan, Hardik, Surya, we really had sleepless nights about which one to keep. We wanted at least one of them back. Of course Hardik is captaining Ahmedabad and we wish him all the best. Very happy to have got back Ishan.
"Jofra has been a player Mahela gave his first professional debut too. So happy to have got him. So happy to have Jof and Boom making a lethal bowling attack, although next year.
"We thought Tymal would go for a lot more. He’s an experienced death bowler. He’s one of the main picks we had this season so that we manage to stay competitive this season too. Mahela coaches him at the 100. He’s remained injury free too.
"Tim David is going to partner Pollard at 5 and 6. Fortunately he got a good spell at RCB last year, so he got the experience of IPL and knows what it is all about."
