This has been a brilliant innings from the PBKS captain so far – and their dugout would breathe a sigh of relief that Mayank returning to run-scoring here. 

Mayank is 44 off 27 deliveries at the moment.

Shikhar Dhawan goes to 24 with a four off the first ball, and now has the most number of runs against Mumbai Indians (825).

Despite a 17-run over, Rohit Sharma continues with Murugan Ashwin and he makes a good comeback.

That could've been the first wicket! Bumrah offers width and keeps it full, and Mayank goes for a cut through midwicket. However, Murugan Ashwin fails to grab the ball at cover point.

You can sense what Bumrah is trying to do. The bowler keeps it near the yorker length but doesn't get his line right, as he concedes two successive wides to Dhawan.

The batter tries to negate the impact of yorker by stepping out.

Bumrah brought in the third over of the innings and it is a poor delivery to start with. Down the leg side from the bowler and all Dhawan needed was to flick it gently past the short third. It is a leg-bye, however.

Nice recovery from Unadkat after conceding a first-ball six, as the remaining five deliveries fetch only one run. Unadkat doesn't allow Mayank too much width, as he keeps it on length and onto Mayank's body.

Shikhar Dhawan needs 24 more runs to become the leading run getter against Mumbai Indians in IPL.

It's great, it's something that you look to do in your cricketing career at some point of time. I have had the pleasure of playing with him as well when I made my Test debut. It's always special, just talking to him about the game, not just him but other legends in the dressing room as well. It's great talking about the game and learning from them all the time.

“It has been fun, I've really enjoyed my role in this Punjab side. Many people know the way we wanted to play and we are trying to incorporate that in the team. We have played some good cricket, hopefully we can get a bit smart and keep entertaining the people,” Livingstone says.

“There's a lot of pace and bounce. 33% of deliveries have been bowled short at this venue, and the short-pitched length has given the seamers the most number of wickets. But it is a double-edged sword. This pitch has even layering of grass. There will be runs and there will be wickets. You won't mind batting first here,” Deep Dasgupta says.

“This team is known for coming back from this situation.The talent's there, the situation was tough for the team in the past as well, it's tough now but I think everyone together will bounce back for sure.”
