6:21 PM IST Earlier in the game, Shaheen Afridi opted to bat first and Lahore Qalandars put on a real show. Kusal Perera and Muhammad Naeem starred with their half centuries, but it was the Lankan who really made the difference. His compatriot, Bhanuka Rajapaksa also played a little cameo which took the Qalandars over the 200-run mark. With the ball, it was a struggle for Naseem Shah as he conceded 52 runs but the likes of Imad Wasim and one over from James Neesham brought some parity back for United.

Salman Mirza was the chief architect along with Shaheen Afridi and the pair of them had the opposition reeling at 12/3. Rishad Hossain then ripped through the United's middle order, picking up two vital wickets and three in total. Mirza and Afridi also got three wickets each and it was the skipper who closed things out for his side.
