PAK vs AUS 3rd Test Day 1 Highlights: Resilient half centuries from Usman Khawaja and Steve Smith helped Australia recover from two early wickets but Pakistan fought back in the third session with three wickets. Australia ended the opening day on 232 for five with Alex Carey (not out 8) and Cameron Green (unbeaten 20) at the crease. Khawaja continued his rich batting form and scored 91 before falling prey to Sajid Khan and missing out on a century again in his country of birth. Smith, dropped on 19, went on to score 59 before getting trapped by Naseem Shah, who struck again in the final session to remove Travis Head on 26. Naseem ended up with two wickets and Shaheen Shah Afridi also added two plucks to his name. Khawaja, who scored 97, 160 and 44 not out in the two drawn matches at Rawalpindi and Karachi, dominated Pakistan bowlers on yet another slow and low-bouncy wicket.
