Lachlan Yamamoto-Lake is a dynamic opening batter for the Japan National Cricket Team. Born on October 22, 2002, he is widely recognized as one of the most explosive batsmen in the associate cricket ecosystem, notably holding a world record for his role in a historic international opening partnership.

Yamamoto-Lake made his T20 International debut for Japan on October 9, 2022, against Indonesia. He functions as an aggressive top-order anchor who maximizes powerplays with an impactful strike rate of over 130.

He entered cricket history books on February 15, 2024, during the ACC Men's T20I Challenger Cup against China. Opening the batting alongside Kendel Kadowaki-Fleming, the duo put together a world-record 258-run unbeaten opening partnership. During this historic match, Yamamoto-Lake blasted 134 runs off just 68 balls*, clobbering 8 fours and 12 sixes, establishing himself as the 11th youngest player in international cricket history to score a T20I century.
