The three-Test series between West Indies and Pakistan got underway at Sabina Park in Jamaica with both teams struggling in the midst of challenging transition periods. The hosts lost some quick wickets early on, but managed to bounce back through Roston Chase and Shane Dowrich, both of whom scored fifties, to end the day at a total of 244/7. For Pakistan, skipper Misbah-ul-Haq and Younis Khan are playing their last Test series. Pakistan had won the toss and elected to field.
