JNU student union polls on September 14

Polling will be held on September 14, candidates can file nominations on September 4 and the final list of candidates will be put on display a day later.

The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Tuesday announced the schedule for this year’s students union elections.

The JNUSU, which has been a Left-bastion, was last year swept by the left parties. United Left — AISA, SFI and DSF — candidate Geeta Kumari won the top post by defeating ABVP’s candidate by more than 450 votes.
