NEW DELHI: In good news for students, the Delhi Technological University increased its intake in B Tech programmes by 15% from the coming academic session, taking the total number of seats to 1,880.

“The university has added 221 seats to its Computer Engineering programme and increased 25 seats in the Information Technology discipline,” an official statement said.
Over and above, 12 seats have been added in the NRI/ PIO quota through direct admission of students abroad (DASA).
Formerly known as Delhi College of Engineering, DTU was upgraded to a University in 2009.
Currently, the university has a student strength of 1,622 enrolled in over 15 disciplines in its B Tech programme and 608 students enrolled in its M Tech programme in 22 disciplines.
The engineering disciplines on offer include Computer, Information Technology, Software, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Civil, Mathematics and Computing, Automobile, Polymer Science and Chemical Technology, Production and Industrial, Bio-Technology, Environmental and Engineering Physics.
In the last academic session, 260 companies visited the University for placements and made 1,200 job offers.
