Addressing a gathering in Najafgarh, he said the L-G may cancel the 50% power subsidy that users who consume below 400 units get. He may also cancel the government order to increase minimum wages, Kejriwal said.

Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) passed an order in April directing power distribution companies to compensate consumers for unscheduled power cuts extending up to two hours.

“They (discoms) were bound to pay a penalty of Rs 100 for power cut for every hour. 15 days ago, L-G sahab asked for the file of this matter and cancelled this order. Modi (Prime Minister) is hand-in-glove with power companies. Why did he turn down this order?” Kejriwal said.
