The ACB is probing a complaint filed by former DCW chief Barkha Singh, who alleged that Maliwal hired 85 people as councillors and employees without following rules and they didn’t have the requisite credentials to work in the DCW.

Though an FIR is yet to be registered, ACB officers are conducting an inquiry. Last month, the case investigating officer visited the DCW headquarters at ITO and sought details regarding their recruitment, salaries and copy of advertisements if they were released in national newspapers.

ACB chief Mukesh Meena said, “We are looking into the case and action will be taken as per the law.”

While Maliwal was not available for a comment, a DCW spokesperson said they had not received any summon.

Meanwhile, the DCW chief’s office sent a notice to Delhi Police commissioner Alok Verma on Wednesday asking that an FIR be registered against an inspector accused of sexual harassment. She wrote that one of the constables approached the commission.

The Delhi Police officers said that an inquiry had been ordered and the complainant had been sent to the vigilance department.
