CHANDIGARH: A petition has been filed against Udta Punjab in Punjab and Haryana high court which will take a call on the movie on June 16 after the amicus curiae assesses whether it is fit for release.

In his petition, Jalandhar-based advocate Wattan Sharma has submitted that the Shahid Kapoor-starrer, slated to be released on June 17, has portrayed Punjab and its people in a bad light and, therefore, is unfit for exhibition.
