The crime branch of Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested a young notorious auto lifter involved in several cases of vehicle theft, reported at different police stations in the Capital.

The crime branch of Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested a young notorious auto lifter involved in several cases of vehicle theft, reported at different police stations in the Capital.

The arrested auto lifter has been identified as Nafis Alam, 18, a resident of Mangolpuri in Delhi. With Alam’s arrest, the police claimed to have solved four cases of vehicle theft, including one registered at the Indrapuram police station in Ghaziabad.

Sanjay Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police (crime and railways), said the arrest came following information received by a team of crime branch.
