2 held for manhandling couple

A judicial magistrate couple was misbehaved and manhandled by two bike-borne youths following an argument over a trivial issue at Karkari More intersection in east Delhi late on Wednesday night.

A judicial magistrate couple was misbehaved and manhandled by two bike-borne youths following an argument over a trivial issue at Karkari More intersection in east Delhi late on Wednesday night.

The argument broke out between them after the motorcycle, the youths were riding, skidded while trying to avoid a collision with the couple's car.

A case under sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) was registered against the youths at Farsh Bazar police station and they were arrested. The duo was identified as Deepak and Mukesh. They have been sent to 14-days judicial custody.

Lokesh Sharma, additional chief metropolitan magistrate, and his wife Sunaina Sharma, metropolitan magistrate, were returning home in their car and were taking a U-turn when the incident took place. Both are posted at Karkardooma court.

A PCR call was made by a constable, Aslam, who was patrolling in the area. In the melee, an SLR magazine belonging to Aslam went missing and a separate case was registered in connection with it. HTC
