20-year-old girl raped by a friend
A 20-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her friend, a government employee and son of a Delhi Police constable, in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka on Monday.
A 20-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her friend, a government employee and son of a Delhi Police constable, in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka on Monday.
The girl had known the accused, identified as Anuj, 25, for more than the eight months, the police said.
According to the police, the incident was reported from the Dwarka More Metro station around 4:30pm.
According to the girl’s written complaint, Anuj had called her to meet him in the afternoon, after which
he took her to a tent house located in Najafgarh and molested her,” said a senior police officer. After molesting her, he dropped her at the Dwarka More Metro Station and threatened her not to reveal information about the incident to anyone.
“However, she approached an officer posted at the Dwarka More Metro station and related the entire incident. On the basis of her complaint, a case was registered,” the officer said.
According to the police, Anuj had befriended the victim nine months ago and the two would often go out together.
