21-yr-old managment trainee missing, car found in Hindon
A 21-year-old management trainee, Aditi Tyagi, went missing under mysterious circumstances from Ghaziabad on Monday. Her car was later found dumped in the Hindon River.
Aditi, a resident of the posh Shastri Nagar area of Ghaziabad, works with a company in Sector 62 Noida. Her father Dr. A.P. Tyagi is a government servant. “She had left home for work on Monday morning. Generally, she would return by 7.30 p.m. but when she did not come back till late in the evening we tried to call her on her mobile phone. Her mobile was, however, switched off,” a relative said.
Her family lodged a missing-person complaint at the Indirapuram police station after which the police started a search operation. Aditi’s car, a white-coloured Maruti-800 (UP-14U 1177), was found dumped in the Hindon river near the railway bridge around 1.30 a.m.
The car, police sources said, was found locked from inside. It was pulled out with the help of a crane. “We are searching for the girl,” said SP (City) Vijay Bhushan.
“A search is on. The girl is still missing. We are trying to search further in the river. We are also trying to investigate her call details. The family members have not suspected anybody so far,” said SSP Deepak Ratan.
Sources said police had taken out the call details of Aditi’s phone and had found a large number of outgoing calls made to a particular number. Police is trying to find who this person is.
