Twenty-two child labourers, working in bag manufacturing units, were rescued on Wednesday by authorities in central Delhi.

The children, between seven and 12 years old, were rescued from Nabi Karim area by a team of officials and representatives of central district task force, NGO Salaam Balak Trust, Delhi Police, department of labour and NGO Human Rights Law Network.
"Most of the children are from Sitamarhi and Darbhanga in Bihar, and Nepal. They were being forced to work for 12-14 hours a day," an official said.
The children have now been sent to a children’s home managed by the Salaam Balak Trust.
