28-year-old strangulates wife

A 26-year-old woman identified as Uma was allegedly strangulated by her husband in the Haridas Nagar area of Najafgarh in Outer Delhi on Tuesday, police said.

Uma was allegedly strangled to death by her husband, 28-year-old Rajender who works as a driver, owing to marital discord. After killing her, Rajender allegedly left their infant child wailing next to her corpse, police said.

“Their relationship had been strained since they got married in 2004,” said a senior police officer.
