"Thirty four people have tested positive for swine flu but there have been no deaths today," said Dr Charan Singh, additional director at the Delhi Health Service, who is also the nodal officer for monitoring H1N1 cases.

"The cases have started showing a downward trend. The flu strain is very mild this season and the good news is that more reporting is happening when compared to previous years and because people are more aware now," said Singh.

According to Delhi government, only four cases were reported during the same period in 2012, and a total of 78 cases and one death in the entire year.
