4 held for woman’s murder

More than a fortnight after 87-year-old Maya Kochar was found strangulated to death at her three-storey residence in northwest Delhi's Mahendra Park area, the Delhi Police arrested four men, including a tenant residing in the same building for the crime.

"The accused have identified themselves as Karan (21), Vinod (25 years), Mukesh (21) and Mukesh (21). Vinod used to stay as a tenant at the victim's building," said a senior Delhi Police officer.

On October 27, Kochar was discovered strangled to death by her grandson Arvind when he woke up to pick up his father from the New Delhi Railway Station.
"The gang was busted on October 9, from the Jheel Wala Park in Harsh Vihar, when they were in the process of planning another crime," said the officer.
