The man, Radhey Shyam Prasad, ran a mobile charger manufacturing factory. According to the police, the victim was upset and depressed because of his wife and children’s alleged indifferent behaviour towards his parents. He was also unhappy with his “in-laws’ unnecessary interference in his family matters”, police said.

Prasad in the suicide note wrote that his children never respected their grandparents and they always remained close to his in-laws. He blamed his wife for spending money on her parents and brothers.

“He praised Narendra Modi for his efforts in stopping dynastic politics and bringing a change in the Indian politics,” said a police officer, quoting the suicide note.

According to the police officer, around 11 am the victim’s family went to Prasad’s room and found him hanging from the ceiling fan.

The family members called the police control room and informed them about the incident. A police team arrived at Prasad’s house at Dharamveer Colony near Burari and rushed him to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
