Police said the arrested accused — identified as one Parvinder Singh alias Prince — used fake identities and forged documents to obtain credit cards and car loans from various banks.
Krishna Nagar resident Singh, the police claimed, was involved in as many as eight cases of cheating and impersonation that had been registered against him at different police station in the Capital in the past one decade.
Singh has been declared proclaimed offender in four of the cheating cases.
Ajay Chaudhry, additional CP (southeast), said Singh was arrested by a team led by Virender Jain, SHO of the Amar Colony police station, that had been keeping track of his movements in Delhi.
“Singh was arrested from the Lal Quarters area in Krishna Nagar on the basis of a tip-off. On interrogation, he revealed that he was involved in eight cases of cheating and impersonation in Delhi,” Chaudhry said.
