The system, developed by BSES Yamuna Power Limited will help in identifying the location of faults at a faster speed.

Dikshit said, “This innovative product has the potential to offer power distribution companies a cost-effective opportunity to optimise their manpower and network. The system allows power distribution companies to get more from their existing networks”. The system’s smart grid system will reduce the transformer downtime by up to 80-90 per cent.

“It will help identify affected areas on a geographical map and facilitate the maintenance crew with route maps and network details for a faster response time,” a spokesperson said.
