After raids, CBI questions ‘telecon’ Raja?

It didn’t specify how, where and when Raja was questioned, nor if his statement was recorded. A senior CBI official, requesting anonymity, confirmed ‘all persons’ raided by the CBI on Wednesday They include Raja and five of his former aides. He is likely to be questioned again.

CBI also questioned Raja’s former personal secretary RK Chandolia and former telecom ministry deputy director general AK Srivastava — alleged to be his ‘eyes and ears’.

Sources also said in raid in 2009, CBI found two vital files. One file pertained to a licence agreement between DoT and a firm allowed to start services in two north Indian states. The second had the application papers of a company, which didn’t get UAS licence. Both companies later merged with a firm, which, sources claim, was favoured in the allocation of 2G spectrum. Chandolia and Srivastava are being questioned about these two firms.
